Having a job keeping up with the blog at the moment as its school holiday time, which means Grandchildren. Last week we had our two Grandsons and this week we have had one of our Granddaughters whose 13, Today we are preparing to have our baby Granddaughter for a couple of hours.
Last night I had a brilliant evening at the Mary Ann Evans Hospice, Lymphoedema Support Group. We meet the last Thursday in every month. This month we had four new members and over tea and cake had lots of chat.
Trulife joined us to do a bra measuring service which went down well with all our members. Trulife bras are very comfortable which is extremely import for those of us who have had breast cancer.
We all congratulated Nicky on passing her MLD training and delighted to hear that Karen who works for the hospice is joining the Lymphoedema team in September. This means we will have 3 in clinic which will should ease some of the pressures on Kay and Nicky.
I am absolutely thrilled to be asked to join the Service User Group at the Hospice and to start attending the clinical governance meetings. This is a great step forward to represent lymphoedema patients at the hospice and hopefully other members of our support group will join me.
