L-W-O Community

For those living with Primary, Secondary & Paediatric Lymphoedema Online & in the Community

Volunteers needed

As L-W-O continues to move forward the importance of working with or becoming a member of other groups helps us keep up to date with what is going on in the world of small organisations like ours and gives us access to a wider range of resources.  Some organisations can be accessed for free, others there is a subscription fee.  As an independent organisation, I am proud of the fact that we don't have to charge our members, although donations are always welcome.

L-W-O now works with several organisations within Coventry and Warwickshire and time restraints not only makes this challenging but for me personally becomes very tiring. Like all organisations finding volunteers is hard work but if we don't recruit volunteers then we really are in danger of folding.  L-W-O is asking for volunteers with Admin skills, Word, Excel, Database, or volunteers who are happy to make tea and coffee at our support group events or run a raffle for us.  Everyone has a skill they can offer.

L-W-O is a non-medical, non-profit organisation supporting those living with Primary and Secondary Lymphoedema our online support group www.facebook.com/groups/lymphwhatoedema has over 900 members.  The L-W-O support group meets in Coventry on the 2nd Thursday of the month at The Hummingbird Centre, Coventry between 10.00 a.m. - 12 p.m.  Our support group in Coventry is friendly we have speakers or demonstrations which are relevant to the self-management of lymphoedema with a cuppa and lots of chat.  If you can offer us 1 - 2 hours a month please contact us.

There are more details on our website page Volunteers or you can contact me Gaynor Leech at lymphwhatoedema@gmail.com
